In a stellar performance, Dabang Delhi K.C., led by Captain Naveen, secured a convincing 38-29 victory over Bengal Warriors in Chennai on Monday. Naveen Kumar’s exceptional display included scoring 11 raid points and reaching a significant milestone by surpassing 1000 raid points in the Pro Kabaddi League.
Early Dominance by Dabang Delhi K.C.
In the initial minutes of the match, Naveen Kumar and Ashu Malik executed effective raids, propelling Dabang Delhi K.C. to a 3-0 lead by the third minute. The Delhi side maintained relentless pressure, reducing the Warriors to just two players on the mat. A pivotal moment came when Delhi tackled Shrikant Jadhav, inflicting the first All-Out and securing a substantial 9-2 lead. Despite Maninder Singh’s efforts for the Warriors, Delhi retained control, leading 10-5 by the 9th minute.
Defensive Brilliance and Naveen's Milestone
Ashish’s outstanding tackles further solidified Dabang Delhi K.C.’s lead, reaching 14-7 by the 14th minute. Naveen showcased his prowess with a remarkable running hand touch, leaving the Warriors with only two players on the mat in the 16th minute. Just before halftime, Delhi executed another successful All-Out, concluding the first half with a commendable 23-16 lead.
In a historic moment, Naveen Kumar achieved his 1000th raid point in the Pro Kabaddi League, adding a significant milestone to Dabang Delhi K.C.’s dominant performance.
Second-Half Control and Comprehensive Victory
The defensive unit continued its efficacy in the second half, tackling key Warriors’ players and extending the lead to 27-18 by the 25th minute. Naveen’s consistent raiding prowess kept the scoreboard ticking for Delhi, maintaining a comfortable lead at 32-22 in the 34th minute. Riding on the established momentum, Dabang Delhi K.C. closed out the game with a comprehensive victory.
