In a thrilling encounter at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex on Tuesday, Haryana Steelers showcased a splendid all-around performance to secure a hard-fought 31-29 victory over Gujarat Giants. This triumph marked a significant milestone as the Steelers became the first team in Season 10 to achieve four successive wins.

Dominant Start and Tactical Brilliance

The Haryana Steelers started the match on a dominant note, swiftly climbing to a 5-1 lead. Despite the Giants fighting back with a Fazel Atrachali Super Tackle and a clever toe touch from Rohit Gulia, both teams remained neck and neck for most of the opening half. The Steelers gained a substantial lead when Mohit Nandal executed an impressive High 5, putting them in control.

The Giants faced more challenges as Vinay secured the crucial All-Out in the 19th minute, and the Steelers entered halftime with a commanding 17-10 lead. The first half saw the Giants managing only 5 raid points, while the Steelers’ right cover, Mohit, single-handedly amassed 5 tackle points.

Sonu, entering the game from the bench, played a pivotal role, leveling the score at 24-24 with a massive back-kick and seven minutes left on the clock. The game remained in the balance, but the Steelers showcased superior composure in pressure situations to clinch the win.

Closing Moments Seal the Victory

In the crucial final moments, Ashish, who had a quiet evening, made a significant contribution by trapping Sonu in an ankle hold with just 60 seconds remaining. Vinay followed it up with a solid two-point raid, extending the Steelers’ unbeaten streak and securing their fourth consecutive victory.
