Kedar Jadhav had been retained by RCB for INR 1 Crore, however he went under-utilised in 2023 as he was brought in after 8 matches, and played in just 2 out of the 6 matches RCB had left in the season.
Kedar Jadhav IPL 2022 & 2021 performance
Kedar Jadhav did not get a chance to play in the IPL 2022 season, as he warmed the bench.
People might argue that this might have happened due to his uncharacteristic performance in 2021 season, where he played 6 matches and scored a total of 55 runs, at an average of 13.75 runs and a strike rate of 106. His highest score of the season being 19 runs.
Kedar Jadhav - Can the 1 Crore base price attract the franchise owners?
Kedar Jadhav, a seasoned player in the Indian Premier League (IPL), boasts an impressive track record with 93 games under his belt. Throughout his IPL journey, Jadhav has demonstrated his batting prowess, amassing a total of 1196 runs with a commendable strike rate of 123.17. While primarily recognized for his batting capabilities, Jadhav is a versatile player with additional skills as a part-time offspinner and ability to play as a wicket-keeper.
Will his recent performance of 2021-2023 IPL seasons play a heavy weight in mind of the IPL franchise owners during the IPL 2024 auction? Will the higher base-price compared to the cheaper newer all-rounders like Rachin Ravindran, play a part in the bids? Will his experience and all-round prowess get Kedar his dues? We have to leave this questions on to the time to answer. For now, we can enjoy these bid battles, and get ready for the T20 carnival of India, the IPL 2024.
